Run Campers benefit from the intersection of knowledge and access to great products at annual Shoe Tying Clinic

For those who have suffered the shameful taunt, "your shoelace is untied!" no piece of running equipment is more vital to their self esteem than shoelaces. But searching for the right lace can be a knotty problem. You're looking for a visually appealing, snap-resistant, durable lace with friction-resistant, dielectic ability Heck, isn't everybody? Asics may have the answer. When research showed that polypropylene laces couldn't withstand UV sun rays, when Kevlar proved to harden, and when it was discovered that nylon was susceptible to excessive stretching, "Asics went back to basics," said Rob Lillie, Gazelle Store Manager. "They led us back to good-old manila laces, the same way we went back to wool undergarments." The manila laces are thicker, heavier and more durable, said Lillie, "and what's really great, is that if you find yourself running in a pond or lake, they float." Although the new laces haven't completely caught on, said Lillie, "we expect they will. This could be more popular than barefoot running, which pretty much everyone is doing now."
Team Leader Mark Kanouse demonstrates the "Standard Double-Tie Overhand, Left-Over-Right Tweezer Knot" with the heavy-duty Asics Crossfit Lace.

Blaine - Run Camp participants are getting very tired of your continual rhetoric about shoelace tying without any positive actionable suggestions. You have provided World Class Coaches for stretching, injury prevention and treatment, nutrition, the power of positive thinking, team building, and running mechanics - yet we still can't tie our shoes. A petition drive may start shortly to bring in an expert in this area and 1) he only needs 2:59 of our time before the run, and 2) I'll bet he works cheap. Please consider this before a rebellion is launched.
